I’ve been working in digital marketing for over 10 years which includes time an independent consultant – primarily with local businesses and multi-location brands – advising on SEO, digital branding, audience development and growth.
My clients are like partners and I’m their digital marketing expert or department. I typically don’t get hired to make spreadsheets. But, I’ll make the spreadsheets anyway. I get hired because I truly care about my client’s business.

As a digital consultant the work I do is varies and I always tailor it to the client’s needs. Here are some past projects to help you get a feel for the kind of work I do:
I’ve worked with local businesses such as a roofer and attorney on audience development, SEO and content distribution.
I’ve worked with multi-location brands such as STIHL, Club Car and Fitlife Foods as an advisor and strategist – whether as the local SEO consultant, Analytics expert or helping to integrate digital into the marketing mix.
Because of my deep knowledge of SEO, Local SEO and business strategy I’ve also worked with marketing agencies such as EraserFarm and Company Man Studios as a digital strategy consultant and business advisor helping to build processes to drive growth.
There are typically three ways to engage with me:
Face to face workshops – where I bring research to the table and challenge assumptions. These sessions can be incredibly valuable, not only as a way of moving forward but also as a way of aligning and identifying future work projects.
Marketing Strategy Projects
The next step is usually getting as close to your team as possible – to understand the dynamics and to understand the business. Most work is done project-based where I define specific needs or problems and address them with speed. This work often revolves around the core principle of helping clients define and build new marketing capabilities – whether in content marketing, SEO, audience development or helping to lead brand positioning and market research.
Ongoing Digital Marketing
Finding digital marketing talent is hard and I have a lot of experience working closely with businesses and brands as their digital marketing department – from strategy to tactical execution. Think of me as something like a consultant who likes to get his hands dirty and take care of business.
