think what you will of the pope, but the fact that someone of his importance and stature is now actively using twitter is pretty cool in my mind. he may not be the first holiness on twitter as that honor goes to the dalai lama (@DalaiLama). using the twitter handle @Pontifex – meaning “bridge builder” in Latin – he posted: “Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.”
