Don’t think SEO matters? Think again.

Thanks to an infographic by Conductor featuring the most concise industry data I’ve seen so far this year you can see from which channels brands get the most customers from.

The infographic shows in detail which channel (social, organic search, email, or PPC) gets the most visitors, results in the most customers, and thus gives you the most bang for your click.

To no surprise the channel that drives the most visitors is organic search.

According to Conductor: “Visitors from organic search are 2X more likely to be extremely engaged and visit more than five pages when compared to the other channels.” Wow.

finally a great inforgraphic on the the difference between paid digital media and earned digital media. what is missing however is the dimension of owned media. a tremendous wom power on all social media channels is produced in the triad of these factors that can even quadruple the intent of purchase by the customer.

this infographic shows the areas that apple, google, and microsoft are doing battle on. the third world war to control the future? google vs. apple vs. microsoft

what does each party want? microsoft wants computing to continue to be tied to the desktop—three screens and a cloud, as steve ballmer is fond of saying. for apple it’s all about closed information appliances with lots of third-party apps, computers anybody can use. and finally for google it’s about all roads leading to the internet, and the internet is currently synonymous with google.
